Watershed management is a complicated fight against mother nature. Every change that happens within a watershed has impact to other areas of a watershed. At the north west corner of Naperville and Warrenville road in Naperville on the north side of the watershed there is a potential rezoning for residential development that will take unoccupied watershed land and convert it into a residential development. This development will result in more water entering the Rott Creek and flow into the east branch of the Dupage River.
There are numerous environmental, storm water, and traffic concerns related to a development in an area such as this and we must urge the proper review is conducted to ensure that this will not have a negative effect to the watershed for increased flooding and environmental issues.
